Position 1

I'v seen some of these positions before but never really thought much about it. Having tried it recently with an adventurous FB, I've come to realise that while it does look rather interesting, it's doesn't really deserve all the hype surrounding it.

I suppose since it looks different, many think it must be better than other more conventional positions. But I beg to differ. Following a recent post, I've received several emails encouraging me to go for it - the modeling gigs that is. It was unexpected but really a nice boost. I've also received a few other emails asking what my secret was in keeping in shape and looking the way I did (I hope that was a compliment!).

Well, there is no secret to be honest. Keeping in shape is not something you should take for granted. I for one, keep up to a vigorous routine of exercise and workouts, thanks to my SO. In my younger days, I admit, I was careless in what I ate and how I managed my skin care. Of course it's never too late to start but the message is you will have to do something about it.

Just because you have good genes doesn't automatically mean that you will retain them when you get older. I have several friends who were really lookers and had solid bodies to go along but somehow along the way, they just let it go and ignored themselves.

Emotional happiness and contentment in life is also vital. Keep things simple and be happy and grateful with what you have however little it may seem because if you don't, you will always be left rueing the next person who has a little more than you. That's my simple philosophy; while there may be a limit how beautiful we can look on the outside, there is no limit for how beautiful we can be on the inside.

Lastly, laugh alot and have (orgasmic) sex like there's no tomorrow.

Strange start to 2012. Imagine this. Someone like me being approached to do a photoshoot for a catalogue! I mean I wouldn't say that I'm way past my prime but nonetheless, it was really surprising that I got offered to do it. For some reason, I'v recently been receiving quite a number of emails from women complaining that sex is a one-way thing in their relationships. More often than not, they seem to be satisfying their partners and not getting their 'fair share' in return.

If a man has slipped into his me-only routine, the question to ask is did you have a part to play in inadvertently 'nurturing' that?

Sometimes you have to be selfish too and make your demands in bed known too. Take what you want and then give back. Men will be men so no us spending all your energy trying to change them. The best thing we can do is to 'ímpose' our desires and lusts on them.

But before that, you ought to get down to really talking more openly about your sexual desires, fantasies and lusts. Get that out in the open and soon you will be able to tell the difference in not only your sex lives but inevitably, other facets of your relationship. Soon after my post about a British couple who turned to webcamming to pay for their bills and support their young daughter, a reader kindly sent in another story about a young woman from Wales. She had also turned to webcamming in order to pay for her recently-raised University fees which her family could not afford.

I was at a friend's place last weekend and since it was quite late when I decided to head for home, I decided to stay the night, along with another girlfriend. She stays in a rented shophouse apartment in the Middle Road vicinity, a place she has called 'home' since 2008.

This one really is a hot story, literally and painfully! It was reported in a mid-western daily on November 21 last year about a cheating couple who booked a room at an inn outside of the town where they lived.

A COUPLE'S OWN

I was about to put out my old newspapers when I came across this interesting piece which I somehow missed. It was about a young couple from the US who were having difficulties making ends meet. What made matters more challenging was that they also had to support their 20-month old daughter. The husband is 24 and the wife 21.

PAYING FOR SEX (POLL 41)

I carried out this poll early November and here are the results. Interestingly, 50% of respondents have paid for sexual favours. If you recall, sometime back, I did a similar poll and it was only 39% who did so. So I suppose it's on the rise.

We are almost there. We can just about put aside our 2011 journals and calendars to what has been a rather disappointing year. It began with lots of excitement and hope but for many, 2011 turned out to be a wet blanket.

Personally for me, 2011 happened to be a transitional year. Getting adjusted to the kids being more independent, which brought its ups and downs. Work wise it has been okay I suppose. Not as crazy as 2010 but then again, that was what I was hoping for, so in some ways, it worked out just fine.

My one achievement is that I managed to keep to my resolution of a blog post a day! Cheers me guys! I'm going to do my best to keep it up but I have to say all your emails and encouragement has kept me going.

I suppose I can hail 2011 as a good year healthwise since there has not been too much to report. A good thing mind you. I hope 2012 is an equally good year if not a better one healthwise for me and my family and of course to all of you.

Sex wise, I know 2010 was a better year but 2012 is looking full of prospects which I hope to follow up on. Spare a moment for the less fortunate amongst us and of course be kind to all creatures big and small. Let's celebrate life in 2012!

A CHRISTMAS ORGY

A reader sent me this link which I thought would be appropriate since it is Christmas. A long but very interesting read.

I was involved in such a gathering many years back with several couples and singles. It was well-planned and there was more than enough booze to quench the thirst of a small army. The sister of one of my girlfriends (let's call her Sheila) was just discharged from the hospital after spending two days there for observation after a concussion. She knocked her head against a metal gate - well, at least that is what she told the doctors and nurses there.

According to WHO, more than 6 million people in the developing world are now receiving antiretroviral treatment. In the hardest-hit continent - Africa - some three million people are receiving treatment thanks to the U.S. President's Emergency Program for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

With news that the number of new infections each year around the world has dropped by approximately 25 percent over the past decade, the dawn of new scientific advances augurs well for further battles to bring AIDS incidences even lower.

On December 1st, we observe World AIDS day. It was first observed in 1988 as a way to increase awareness of the disease and support those affected by it, their families, their communities, even entire countries. It provided an opportunity to fight prejudice against people living with HIV, improve knowledge about the disease among the wider population, and raise money for research.

From now until 2015, the WHO's theme is "Getting to Zero:" Zero New HIV Infections. Zero Discrimination and Zero AIDS Related Deaths.

So while you spare a thought for those suffering from the disease, remember that you can ensure that you do a part in keeping it at bay. Two words: "Safe Sex". Enough said.

I attended a wedding for an old friend of mine sometime back. It was great to catch up with some old faces and reminisce about days gone by. I knew the bride but not the groom.

SLUTWALK COMES TO SINGAPORE

SlutWalk is a movement of rallies across the world to protest against 'explaining or excusing rape by referring to any aspect of a woman's appearance'. Taking off on April 3 this year in Toronto, Canada, it will land in Singapore on December 4.

The protest was sparked after a police constable in Toronto suggested that to remain safe, "women should avoid dressing like sluts." Talk about a typical sexist remark. It's amazing how victim-blaming always takes centerstage and almost always, if a woman is dressing provocatively, the widespread whipsers seem to indicated that she deserved it.

No one deserves to be raped. The fact is that whether a woman is dressed provocatively or not, she can still be a victim of rape. However, what this walk aims to do is to create an awareness that women have the right to wear what they want and not worry about being raped. In a way, it is pushing society to open their eyes to rape and where the blame should fall.

If I wear a mini skirt, it is likely that men will take notice and perhaps even take their chances to try and get to know me. That is certainly alright but it does not mean that they can put their hands all over me? Slutwalk is also about respect and equality.

The movement is not saying that you can't oogle at us just because we dress sexily. What it is trying to state is that our rights are not diminished just because we dress in a certain way, provocative or not.

In some way, it is also an expression of a woman's sexuality. We all like to dress up at times, have a night out struting our stuff, but we also want to come home safe without being sexually assaulted. Shouldn't that be our right?

On the opposite end, we also need to know where we are going and with whom. Dressing like a 'slut' to work or when you know you have to pass along a dark lonely stretch of road on the way home, is tempting fate. Not that it's not your right to wear what you want but there is a time and a place.

To be honest, the real impact of such a protest (methinks) would be felt if more women come dressed in their normal everyday wear, underlining the message that you don't have to be a slut to be a victim of rape. So ultimately, dressing like a slut has no bearing on being a vicitm. Being a woman does.
