LOOKING A LOT LIKE XXX'MAS (Part 1)

I've already noticed some Christmas trees erected in some malls. The odd radio ad has sounded and I guess it's only days away before a steady stream of ads show up on our goggle boxes. But for me, I get an extra reminder. It's the increasing number of parties I get invites to - unofficial hen and stag parties (unofficial because people just throw it for the heck of it), conventional theme dinner & dances and of course, all sorts of swingers' meet-ups.

As for the last ones, I've seem to have lost my mood for them, not so much in the interesting lifestyle but in how it is practiced here. If it's in Australia, US or anywhere in Europe (except Czech Republic - long story) - I'm game but not here in sunny Singapore.

There are several groups here, one touting to be about 4,000 strong. But I can tell you that it's all very disorganised and members seem to have misunderstood the true art and practice of swinging.

Swinging is not another word for ram-bam-thank-you-mam. It's about sensual flirtation, fantasy play, making choices and believe it or not, good conversation! There are lots of swinging rules which are never adhered to over here which makes the whole gathering quite distasteful.

It has a rich history but without understanding it, many take it as another name for an all-out orgy. That it certainly is not. It is in some ways a meeting between matured (I stress matured) people of similar sexual tendencies or leanings. Talk is so underrated.
